Day 1: June 4th, 2023
The students arrived in the country, very happy and excited, with a suitcase full of energy and good mood. They were greeted by a hot and humid climate typical of our rainy season. Then we went to drop them off at their homes with their host families. Let the adventure begin!
Day 2: June 5th, 2023
The students woke up very early in the morning, had a delicious breakfast and then began their Spanish classes. Very excited about all the new things they are going to learn.
In the afternoon we had scheduled to spend time on the beach, but unfortunately we couldn't do it, the tide was very high and there were strong currents. This did not stop us from enjoying the afternoon at the CPI pool, we had a blast.
Day 3: June 6th, 2023.
Wow what a day, our students continue to learn Spanish and our culture. In the afternoon, despite some small delays, we were able to enjoy a delicious lunch and surf lessons, the tide was very high and strong, so we barely managed a little time, however we had a blast.
Day 4: June 7th, 2023
A relaxing day, classes in the morning and enjoying the beautiful beach of Tamarindo. Afternoon of surfing, waves, shopping and lots of laughs. The day closed with a beautiful sunset at Playa Brasilito
Day 5: June 8th, 2023
It is time to give back to Costa Rica a little of everything it has given us, service day in the community of Lorena, Guanacaste. We plant trees, build and paint. It feels good to help others.
Day 6: June 9th, 2023
Life near the sea is better! We had a pizza party and also a nice afternoon aboard the Lazy Lizard catamaran, it was great!!!!
Day 7: June 10th, 2023
We said goodbye to the beach and we approached the adventure, rainy day and mud baths in the thermal waters of the Rio Negro, Rincon de la Vieja Guanacaste.
Day 8: June 11th, 2023
Bye Bye Guanacaste, Hello MONTEVERDE
Day 9: June 12th, 2023
Zip Line tour, adrenaline runs through our body and we fly through the sky of the cloud forest.
Day 10: June 13th, 2023
Today was a day where the students had time to get to know and explore the beautiful town of Santa Elena, they also prepared their own lunch in the cooking class. They made delicious patacones, pico de gallo and guacamole. MMM delicious!
Day 11: June 14th, 2023
A day where we learned the process of coffee, cocoa and sugar cane. Today we do the tour at the Trapiche Farm, a very special day. During the afternoon, dance classes.
Day 12: June 15th, 2023.
The students visited Sky Adventure Park and celebrated theTree National Day by planting fruit and endemic trees of the Monteverde area. In addition to this, they had their fun Spanish classes. We are having such a nice experience.
Day 13: June 16th, 2023
Today was a day of service, we worked hard on the Life Monteverde project: we fed the goats, harvested vegetables, and learned how important coffee is culturally and socially. Definitely a very special day in which we close our beautiful trip to Costa Rica.
Day 14: June 17th, 2023.
Thank you Costa Rica for another year of good experiences, thank you Good Shepherd for always choosing us.
