Dia 1: February 13, 2025
After hours of travel and some flights delay we landed en el país de la Pura Vida, the fresh air and blue sky greeted us. Right after a meal we visited the spanish school for the first time and meet our host families. They were waiting for us with a smile in their faces and so excited to see us, with their arms open they gave us a very tight hug then we went to our new home in Costa Rica. ¡Que la aventura comience!
Dia 2: February 14, 2025
¡Today we unlocked a new part of the map and its name is Heredia the city of flowers! After exploring for a while we ran on a local fair leaded by the local women of the
community, it was amazing seeing so many had made art and food. In the afternoon we took our first Spanish class, aprendimos mucho. We ended the day with some latin music and dance running through our body. ¡A bailar! Salsa, merengue, bachata and swing criollo were some of the styles of dances we learned.
Dia 3: February 15, 2025
First day of volunteering at an animal recue center, we were asigned different taskssuch as cleaning, feeding and building some of the areas of the refugee. We saw a lot of amazing animals over there. ¡Vimos cocodrilos y monos! In the afternoon we spend some time at the mall where we did some dynamics to practice our Spanish
Dia 4: February 16, 2025
We took a short walk around San José, where we learned about the country's history and culture. We visited the National Theater of Costa Rica, and afterwards, we attended a first-division soccer match.
Dia 5: February 17, 2025
Today we had a guided tour of the national park, where we saw many amazing animals, including birds, sloths, monkeys, and deer, all in their natural habitat. After the tour, we spent the rest of the day at the beach
Dia 6: February 18, 2025
This Tuesday, we visited a public school in Heredia, where we helped rebuild some desks for the students. We also cleaned areas such as the playground and the vegetable garden. In the afternoon, we had Spanish classes, and later, we all played soccer after classes
