Day 1: May 29, 2026
We've arrived! World Strides has landed in Costa Rica. The journey was long, but the experience was worth it: sharing with local families, learning about sustainable agriculture, and of course, enjoying incredible food. But we didn't just come to observe; we've already started taking real action for the environment. We ended the day learning Latin music dancing. This is pura vida from day one!
Day 2: May 30, 2026
A day of learning and adventure! After a productive morning of Spanish lessons, we set off for Tigre Falls. The boys and girls from World Strides explored a fascinating transitional forest, where the green of the cloud forest blends into the rainforest. The highlight was the four spectacular waterfalls; nothing better to recharge than a refreshing dip surrounded by unspoiled nature. Exercise, fresh air, and lots of fun!
Day 3: May 31, 2026
Today, we immersed ourselves in the essence of Monteverde. From learning about safety and service with the local firefighters to connecting with wildlife at the Sloth Sanctuary, where they discovered the secrets of its natural history. The highlight of the day? The incredible view from the suspension bridges was a walk among the clouds that left us all speechless.
Day 4: April 01, 2026
Mission accomplished! Today, we celebrate the graduation of our Spanish program, the perfect culmination of so much hard work. But it wasn't all studying: the students got to work transforming the San Luis School in Monteverde. Amid laughter and paintbrushes, they left their mark by improving the facilities. Changing the world, one step at a time!
Day 5: April 02, 2026
We had an amazing time rafting. It was full of adrenaline, laughter, and teamwork, and being surrounded by nature made it even more special. It is definitely a day we will never forget.
Day 6: April 03, 2026
Saying goodbye was not easy. After so many incredible moments, we leave with beautiful memories, new friendships, and hearts full of gratitude for this unforgettable experience.
