Day 1: April 12th, 2025

¡Bienvenidos a Costa Rica! Today was a memorable day for the group. After enyoing a delicious lunch together, then the highlight of the day arrived - they met their Costa Rican host families for the first time! The excitement and warm welcomes made it a truly special moment. 

 

Day 2: April 13th, 2025

Today was a well-deserved free day for the group, and what an adventure it turned to be! They kicked things off with a breathtaking waterfall tour, where they soaked in the beauty of Costa Rica´s nature. After a day of exploration, everyone returned home to enjoy a warm, delicious Costa Rican dinner shared with their host families. What a day to remember!

Day 3: April 14th, 2025

With bright smiles and eager minds, today everyone dove into their first lessons, ready to start learning and connecting through spanish culture and language. After class, the group headed out for a lively photo treasure hunt around the town of San Joaquín. Along the way, they got to try copos! A beloved Costa Rican treat - that are snow cones with shaved ice, syrup, powdered milk and condensed milk on top - perfect for cooling off in the tropical heat. 

Day 4: April 15th, 2025

Today the group started their day with Spanish classes, and the excitement only grew from here. In the afternoon, they got into a flavorful cooking class, where they learned how to make empanadas. Next, they had the opportunity to put in practice their creative side by painting Boruca masks - each one a unique work of art. To wrap up the day, they brought the energy to a dance class that had everyone moving to the rhythm. It was a full day of learning, creativity, and cultural immersion!

Day 5: April 16th, 2025

Today, the group continued their Spanish lessons during the morning. Later on, they visited Oxígeno Mall, where they had the opportunity to shop, watch a film at the cinema, or simply enjoy some leisure time. It was like a mini free afternoon, allowing the group the flexibility to spend the rest of the day as they wished. 

Day 6: April 17th, 2025

Today, the group set off an exciting weekend trip to Monteverde. But before reaching their destination, they made an unforgettable stop at Río Tárcoles for a guided boat tour throught the river -home to some of the largest crocodiles in Central America. They got the chance to see these incrdible creatures up closer than you´d think possible! After a thrilling start, the gruop made their way to Monteverde and enjoyed a well-deserved dinner. 

Day 7: April 18th, 2025

Good morming from Monteverde! Today, the group had the chance to reconnect with nature during a guided tour fo the beautiful Reserva de Santa Elena. Did you know this lush cloud forest is home to over 400 species of orchids and more than 500 species of birds, including the iconic resplendent quetzal? Nature at its finest right? 

Day 8: April 19th, 2025

Good morning everyone! Today was filled enriching and memorable experiences. The group began the day exploring the stages of coffee production, the traditional methods of processing sugarcane, and the artisanal techniques involved in crafting chocolate. Later in the day, the participants engaged in a canopy tour, where they experienced the forest from an elevated perspective. 

Day 9: April 20th, 2025 

Until next time, Monteverde! Today, the group packed up and made their way back to Heredia. But before reaching their final destination, they made a quick stop in the charming town of Sarchí, Alajuela. Here’s an interesting highlight: Sarchí is home to the world’s largest traditional oxcart, a true symbol of Costa Rican culture! You can find this impressive monument right in the heart of Sarchí’s central park. Isn’t that incredible?
